Season 2: Rare Soil Wars!

Dear Friends,

You may be wondering why we've moved the furnace to a corner of the map ( please be aware that we might still have to move it one or several times - this is a work in progress for the whole server...)


This is due to the Rare Soil Wars event, which follows the Factions Awards event.


As its name might have let you know, we will be waging war against members of the other faction (1006 chose the Gendarmerie faction). Alliances of both factions are split into 4 groups, based on strength - attackers from group 1 can attack an alliance from group 1, etc. We are part of group 3.


Factions can either defend or attack, depending on the week. We'll be defending, for the first round.


Monday: nothing happens

Tuesday: Starting tonight 4am CET, members of the attacking faction will select their opponent, + optionally, their allies. This selection stage will last until the next server reset (0:00 server time / 4am CET).


Wednesday:

- from 0:00 server time Wednesday, defenders have 12 hours to invite other alliances to help them defend.

- from 12:00 server time / 4pm CET, and lasting between 20 and 40 minutes (depending on how many alliances are taking part in the fight), WE FIGHT: attackers will try to destroy our furnace; we have to make sure they don't!

- after the war is done, until reset: rewards can be collected.


The cycle starts again on Thursday

Thursday: nothing really happens

Friday: the attacker selects their opponent + allies(?)

Saturday: etc etc


rinse/repeat every week for 4 weeks.




Rare soil wars - additional information


Dear friends,

As a follow-up to my mail from yesterday on the same topic, here are a few details of what will happen over the course of today/tomorrow.


REMINDER: tomorrow, we'll be defending. At this time, no alliance has declared war on us yet, but this may change.



- up to 3 alliances can declare war on the same alliance. The defending alliance can invite other alliances to help them defend, if more than one alliance declares war against them.


- the battle stage starts at 12.30 server time, 4.30pm CET, and lasts between 20 and 40 minutes.


- The Warlord of the attacking alliance can launch ONE missile during the event. This missile will hit a 25*25 square, teleporting all bases within that radius outside of the square, and turning the ground to mud.


- The defending alliance gets a 3-minute notice of a missile launch ( as far as I could find, in World Chat). The warlord goes into war fever when the launch process starts, and the location of his base gets shared to the whole server. If the defenders manage to breach the base of the warlord during the pre-launch timer, the missile gets canceled. If the warlord TPs during that time, the missile is canceled.


- if the missile doesn't get canceled, the defenders should teleport back close to the furnace as quickly as possible - the goal is to make travel time for attackers as long as possible. Of course, if your base is in the mud, opponents will be able to attack your base - on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Outside of the mud, your base is safe on Wednesdays, BUT you can be attacked anywhere on Saturdays.



TLDR:

- there will be a war on Wednesday, starting at 4.30pm CET, and lasting between 20 and 40 mins.

- we are defending our alliance furnace.

- no alliance has declared war on us at this time. This may change!

- Read about the Warlord Missile mechanics in the message above - it's important!

- Wednesdays: your base cannot be attacked, except on the mud. As a defender, you have to garrison the

- Saturdays: your base can be attacked!
