Genetic Recombination

An important new mechanic in Last War Survival: Genetic Recombination. This feature is crucial in strengthening our bases and improving our virus resistance, so we all must understand how it works and take full advantage of it.

How it works...

This system functions similarly to the treasure map pieces from the secret mission tasks section. You need to collect six different types of Genetic Fragments, which can be obtained through various in-game activities. Once you have all six, you can combine them to receive approximately 70,000 crystals.

In the beginning, you can perform a few recombinations immediately. After that, you can typically do one every two hours. The good news is that these stack up, so if you take a break or sleep for a few hours, you won’t lose out on potential rewards.

Genetic Fragments 1-3

Earned through most PvE activities, including...

• Killing zombies

• Killing elite zombies

• Curing teammates’ virus infections (you receive one shard per virus stack cured)

• Running Doom Rallies

If our teammates are actively fighting zombies and participating in PvE events, we will naturally accumulate many of these Genetic Fragments.

Genetic Fragments 4-6

Earned by completing:

• Radar missions

• Hitting enemy bases

• Killing zombies (Occasionally received in mailbox loot after zombie kills)

A quick and efficient strategy to farm Genetic Fragments 4-6 is to attack inactive lower-level unallianced bases around us. These bases provide an easy and safe way to stockpile the Genetic Fragments needed for recombination.

Exchange

You can exchange Genetic Fragments with your alliance members, and the mechanics work exactly like with the map pieces exchange from secret missions.

Why is it Important?

Each successful recombination grants 70,000 crystals, which level up our Protein Factories. These factories produce Protein that is used to boost virus resistance, which makes our team's attacks stronger and allows us to fight more effectively without suffering excessive losses.
