The Vice President position in the capital requires attention, energy, and the ability to follow easy tasks. After you read through this guide, you will confidently take over the Vice President position with pride at any time. Here are the steps and what you need to know:
Before signing up, make sure you communicate: Let the current VP know via direct message or world chat that you would take over for them. They will most likely ask you if you know how to do it. Since you are reading this post through till the end, you can reply: "Yes, I know how to do it."
Apply for VP
First, click on your profile and then the # 1006 button. This takes you to the Capital Positions screen. Then select Vice President and click on APPLY. You will see a message saying "Your application was successful." Once your application has been accepted, you will see your profile in the VP spot on the capital screen and a notification of your new title will pop up in the middle of your screen. Also, you will have a little VP crown above your base and below your profile.
Being VP
As VP, it is your responsibility to accept other players' applications for the Capital Title or Secretary positions.
When a player signs up for a position, you will have an exclamation icon in the top left corner of your profile picture. Click on your profile when you see this.
You will see the same (!) icon in the top left corner of the 1006 button. Click on the 1006 button.
Now you see the same (!) icon on a position someone has applied for. Click on the position with the (!) icon.
In the bottom right there is a List icon with a red dot on the top right of its corner, click on that.
Now you are in the application list for the position, and you see the player who has applied. The list is organized with the top player being the one who applied first and the bottom player being the one who applied last. Click the Green check-mark box next to their name to accept them into the position's automatic-assignment list. Accept as many as there are in the list, or until the automatic-assignment lists' 50 positions are full. Then exit out of the application list.

Next, check if there are any other applications to other positions being made so you can accept those as well. Always accept in the order in which they applied, and never deny anyone a position. The only position you can deny applications for is the VP position you are in.
TIPS:
Only accept a VP replacement that you know has done it before. If you are not sure, ask in World Chat if it is OK to give the position to them and wait for an answer. They will let you know if someone is allowed to do it or is not to be trusted. If you cannot find anyone to take your spot, write to us PoKe Leaders, and we will take it over for you and find a replacement.
Do not stay too long inside of Arena, Chat, Campaign, or Exploring. You cannot see the notifications in these areas.
Frequently check for the (!) icon so you don't keep the applicants waiting for more than 5 minutes.
Never accept someone out of order.
Never kick anyone from any list.
Do not remove players from a position. If they want to be removed, they can write into world chat to find someone to replace them.
IMPORTANT: While being VP, if you go to another server to plunder, make sure you come back soon and go check the applications even if there is no (!) icon. Visiting another server messes up the notification icons.
WARNING: When you receive the position, go check the lists right away for any applicants, sometimes there are some there that the old VP had not accepted yet. These can sometimes not show the notification. Accept them and have the lists empty and then the notification (!) will show up again.
Let an R4 know you would like to try VP, and we will assist you, answer questions, or take over for you if needed.
Now go be a great VP!
