Heroes and Team Basics

You have probably already noticed that heroes lead your soldiers into battle. You can make these heroes stronger and stronger by equipping them with higher-level gear and developing their skills, but that is a separate topic. The topic of this post is about the types of heroes there are. Your heroes can be divided into three groups: rocket heroes, tank heroes, and air force heroes. You can recognize the groups by the three different icons.

Each type of hero comes in three different varieties. Shield Heroes can be recognized by the shield, Attack Heroes by the flame, and Supporter Heroes by the plus. As the names indicate, these are their main functions. Your troop should always consist of 2 Shield Heroes in the front row, 2 Attack Heroes, and a Supporter. Your strongest attack hero should be in the back middle, since that position is usually the last to be killed. This way, your strongest attacker has more time to do more damage. The Supporter Hero is important here because it increases the abilities of each Hero in its troop.

If possible, your troops should always consist of the same type of heroes, i.e. tanks, missiles, or air force heroes. If you have five of the same hero type in your attack troop, you will receive an additional boost of 20%.

The other teams don't necessarily have to follow this pattern and can also mix different types of heroes. However, if you have the option to form teams made up entirely of rocket heroes or air force heroes, this is always the better approach. But this is difficult at the beginning because you lack the necessary heroes.

If you don't always have all the necessary types, you can also put together a mixed team in a different pattern (see picture).

Extra Tip: Share your team builds with a few screenshots in our alliance chat for some feedback on your team setups. We will help you build the strongest teams you can with what Heroes you have available.
