The topic of heroes, their equipment, and their abilities is a big and complex one. It is to some extent diverse and often very individual.

Therefore, think of this as a guide and not as an actual requirement.

To strengthen your heroes, there are various attributes and these come in three different colours: blue (basic), purple (very good), and gold (awesome). Generally, you should always try to upgrade your heroes with gold equipment. You can craft this in the equipment factory. Start by focusing on the respective strengths of the heroes, i.e. defence heroes should receive their shield equipment first and offence heroes their weapons.

Let's start with the defence hero. Defensive heroes are always trained in the attributes on the right side of the screen, that is armour and radar. You can strengthen these through material. These are the small blue triangles that you produce in the foundries, found in chests and shops, or received from events.

Attack heroes have their priority skills, their weapons and chips on the left. Here, too, the goal should be to upgrade the golden equipment as high as possible.

You can upgrade the material up to level 40. After that, there is another star system. To continue upgrading the hero's equipment beyond level 40, you will need the blue triangles, blueprints, and Dielectric Ceramic.

Once you have reached level 40 in those areas, you can start crafting gear for the remaining areas. It may also make sense to have the equipment factory dismantle purple gear pieces to recover the base materials to craft more.

Extra Tip: Do not level up the purple Material beyond level 20. These should be replaced with gold gear when it is available. If you have a Kimberly, she should be your highest priority.
