How to: Travel around the map quickly

Travel speeds differ depending on the task your troops are being sent to do. If you send your troops to attack another base or a zombie, you will notice it is much slower than when you send your troops to mine a tile for iron or gather food from a tile.

When you wish to travel halfway across the map to attack an enemy like Maximilian, for example, it will take a long time for your troops to slowly travel that distance. Instead of starting a slow attack, you can look for a mining tile right behind your target. Select that mining tile and send your troop toward it. Your troops will travel the distance much faster when sent to gather. Once your troops are close to your target, you can click on your target and select the attack icon, then select the troop you set to gather and click attack. This will cancel the gathering task and give you the stamina back that you used to initiate the task.

If you do not cancel the gathering task by starting the attack before you get to the tile, you will start gathering and lose the stamina for the gathering task.

If you use this form of travel and get used to the timings, you will be much faster with whatever you are trying to do. For example: Attacking the level 10 Gold Zombie Hordes around the map that are spaced out.

Don't forget to use this to get back to your base quickly as well! When close to your base, just cancel the task before you get there with the orange arrow next to your troop when you select it. Your troop will automatically return to your base when it is cancelled.

Extra Tip:

When you use this form of travel to attack a faraway base, they will not be alerted to your attack until it is too late for them to react!
